CustomMix Additives and Effects are concentrated products developed to modify compatible Monocure3D resins for specific printing, performance and visual requirements. Instead of purchasing a separate resin for every application, the CustomMix system allows you to adjust selected properties and create a material better suited to your project.
Choose 3D Resin Thinner to reduce viscosity, improve resin flow, simplify pouring and potentially reduce suction forces during printing. The Flex Additive increases flexibility and impact resistance when mixed with compatible Monocure3D resins, helping create parts that are less brittle. The Matte Additive produces a smoother, lower-gloss surface for models requiring a professional matte appearance. For decorative prints and creative projects, the Pearlescent Effect adds a shimmering finish to clear or coloured resin.
These products are concentrated additives and must not be printed on their own. They must be thoroughly mixed with a compatible finished Monocure3D resin before use. Shake the additive well, measure each component accurately by weight and record your formula so successful results can be repeated.
Begin with a small test batch and follow the instructions for your chosen additive. Because modified resin may require different exposure settings, always complete a calibration print and confirm the finish, flexibility and dimensional accuracy before moving into full production.
