ABOUT THE COMPETITION
The 3D Print Masters Competition is Australia’s first-ever scale model-building challenge using resin 3D printers. It brings together enthusiasts to demonstrate their technical skills and creativity. Over 45 hours, six teams of two will design, print, paint, and finish their models using the latest resin printing technology.
With 3D printers by Precision3D, Monocure3D resin, SMS paints & finishing tools provided, participants will battle it out to create stunning models and dioramas that showcase their skills.
The World’s first Premier of 3D Print Masters will be held at the Gaming Hobby & Model Expo (GHMX) at Brisbane Showgrounds. Competitors will not only push their limits but also explore new possibilities in the future of model building. It’s a unique opportunity to transform ideas into reality and show how resin 3D printing can benefit the scale model community.

The competition is fierce, with only six teams of two, but the prizes will be worth it!
Entering the 3D Print Masters Competition is simple. All you need to do is team up with one other person, create a team name, and submit photos of your recent 3D-printed work. We’ll review your submission based on creativity, skill, and innovation. There’s no entry fee, and with just a few easy steps, you’ll be in the running to compete for fabulous prizes and the chance to be part of Australia’s first-ever resin 3D printing competition. While travel, accommodation, and food are your responsibility, the excitement and opportunity are yours for the taking!
COMPETITION RULES
General Rules We’ve established the following general rules to ensure the 3D Print Masters Competition remains fun, fair, and competitive. Please review these carefully before participating.
• Participants may use existing downloadable models or design their own; however, only models created with the provided 3D printers, tools, and materials may be used in the final diorama. Each team will have access to an MSLA 3D printer with unlimited resin, an airbrushing booth, and a selection of finishing tools.
• Additional tools and supplies can be purchased from event merchants using MakerCash.
• Each team will be given a limited amount of MakerCash to spend during the competition.
• Teams must complete a diorama based on the theme provided within 45 hours.
• Pre-made models or large parts cannot be purchased or used in the final diorama.
• Decorative materials, such as flocking or trim accents, are permitted to enhance the scene.
• Teams cannot tamper with other teams’ equipment or projects.
• Outside assistance is strictly prohibited except from designated 3D Print Master mentors.
