Job Description
We seek a passionate and skilled Chemist to join our Research & Development team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in developing new materials, optimizing existing formulations, and ensuring the highest quality standards in our 3D printing products.
Key Responsibilities
- Material Development: Design and synthesize new polymers and resins tailored for 3D printing applications.
- Formulation Optimisation: Improve existing material formulations for enhanced performance, durability, and sustainability.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct rigorous testing and analysis to ensure material consistency and reliability.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, product designers, and other chemists to integrate materials into final products.
- Research: Stay updated with the latest advancements in polymer chemistry and 3D printing technologies.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of experiments, formulations, and test results. Prepare technical reports and presentations.
- Compliance: Ensure all materials and processes comply with relevant safety and environmental regulations.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Materials Science, or a related field. Master’s or Ph.D. preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a similar role, preferably within the 3D printing, materials science, or manufacturing industries.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in polymer synthesis and characterisation techniques.
- Experience with material testing methods (e.g., rheology, tensile testing, thermal analysis).
- Familiarity with CAD software and 3D printing technologies is a bonus.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in chemistry or materials science are advantageous.
