CustomMix Thinner Additive is designed to reduce the viscosity of UV resins, making them easier to pour, handle and clean. By adding up to 10% of the additive, the resin becomes noticeably thinner, reducing suction forces during printing and facilitating the easier release of parts from the vat. Lower viscosity also means less residue on finished models, simplifying the cleaning process. This additive allows you to fine-tune your resin’s flow to match your printing style and preferences.

CustomMix Resin Thinner Additive reduces the viscosity of UV resins, allowing them to pour more easily, release with lower suction forces, and leave less residue during cleaning. At 10% addition, typical viscosity reduction is about 50% in our tests. For example, Pro+ averaged ~800 cps at 25°C before addition and ~380 cps at 25°C after adding 10%. Thinner resin improves handling and can simplify post-processing while maintaining reliable print performance at modest addition rates.

Usage Instructions:
- Mixing ratio: Start at 5% by weight. Increase to 10% for stronger thinning. As a guide, 10% typically reduces viscosity by half. Example. For a total of 1000 g, add 50 g to 100 g of Thinner Additive to 950 g to 900 g of resin. Mix thoroughly until uniform.
- Printing: Use as usual. You may be able to reduce lift speeds or support contact sizes due to improved release; however, always validate on your specific machine.
- Properties: At 10% there is usually only a modest change. Higher additions can affect tensile strength, elongation, flexibility and colour density. Evaluate the model using a calibration dataset before deploying it for production use.
- Post-processing: Expect faster drainage and easier cleaning due to reduced residue. Follow your standard wash and cure procedure.

Warning: This product is a concentrate and cannot be printed alone. It must be mixed with a Monocure3D finished resin before use. Higher addition levels will change mechanical properties and colour density. Results depend on the base resin and print conditions. Not recommended for Flexible resins as it may decrease the elongation. We will not accept responsibility for any damage or poor outcomes resulting from improper use or mixing.
